Altius Velo Outdoor Cycling Club

Welcome to the Altius Velo Cycling Club! We are a diverse group of riders who are passionate about cycling, fitness and most importantly community. Our club has a wide range of skill levels, and we do our best to accommodate the widest range of abilities possible with a diverse group of coaches and sub groups within the club.
We offer 2 weekly club rides on Mondays at 6pm and Fridays at 630am as well as a once a month destination ride.
Our club is a good fit for the following riders:
- Riders with group riding experience
- Have the ability to hold 25km/h during flat riding conditions
- Are self sufficient for flat repair
Our weekly club ride destinations will vary, with each destination having a specific training goal:
Stanley Park - Group Riding Skills
UBC - Paceline Skills
North Shore - Climbing Technique
Iona - Time Trialing
Our destination rides:
May 18th - Fort Langey; Valley Fondo prep
June 22nd - Victoria; Victoria Fondo aka Tour De Victoria prep
July 6th - Sunshine Coast
August 24th - Mission/Hadzic Valley
Our club membership is available for purchase; $400 for the full season, includes all of our coached club rides (including destination rides), and other bonuses and perks. Our club membership is available for purchase now, as either a single payment or broken up into two payments (to select the two payment option please visit the contract section in our online store).
Once you have purchased your club pass, you will be able to register for rides in studiobookings. Please note that registration is required so that we are able to ensure we have sufficient coaching support and for insurance purposes.
*Please note a Cycling BC membership, or proof of personal liability insurance (from another club affiliation) is required to participate in club rides. Proof of membership will be need to be sent to us before your first ride.*
